Join our countryside bike tour and get out of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.  The 14 mile (23 km) route spans the Waterland region, situated north of Amsterdam.  This beautiful bucolic area is home to bike paths and trails that are perfect for confident riders.  And you can cruise in style, like a local on our comfortable Dutch grandma bikes equipped with handbrakes and 3 gears.

Where is the meeting point?

This tour departs from our shop, located at Oosterdoksstraat 106, 1011 DK Amsterdam, Netherlands.  We’re nearby the Amsterdam Central Station behind the Public Library OBA.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

Are helmets mandatory?

No, but we have helmets that are free of charge and available for use should you wish to have one for the tour.

Can I leave the tour early?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate special requests like this on our group tours, and ask that you plan on staying with us until the tour is over.

Can I store my luggage at your shop during the tour?

Yes!

How long is the tour?

The tour is about 3.5 hours long and we’ll cover approximately 15 miles/24 kilometers.

Is this a good tour for kids?

This is a great tour for kids 12 and up who are experiences and confident riders.  If you’re not sure if your child will fare well, we suggest joining our Amsterdam Highlights Bike Tour first.

Can I reschedule in the event of bad weather?

We intend on operating rain or shine, and we advise all guests to dress appropriately for the weather.

What's included?

We provide the bike, expert local guide, helmets if you wish to use them.  There is also a syrup waffle and cheese tasting included; the cost of additional food and drinks is not included in the tour price.

What kind of bikes do you use?

We have comfortable and high quality Dutch grandma-style bikes which are great for most adults.  We do have an array of bike sizes available, and we’ll be happy to help you pick out the best one upon arrival.  We ask that all riders are at least 12 years old.  We also have pedal assist e-bikes available for an upgrade of €20/person.

Will my bike have a basket?

We have baskets available if you’d like one!

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

No we do not enter any monuments or museums.
