We meet at Rua Barata Ribeiro 302a, galeria Felisberto de Menezes in Copacabana.

What is the cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour departure. Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

Should I bring cash?

Yes, cash is always a good idea as not all vendors accept card transactions. There will be opportunities to purchase items along the way.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

While we will make exceptions for experienced young cyclists, we ask that all participants are over 12 years old. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to discuss whether or not this might be a good tour for your child.

How should I dress?

We recommend wearing comfortable, light clothes. Since it is usually sunny in Rio, it’s a good idea to wear and bring sunblock along. Keep in mind during the summer months, from December until March, it can get very hot. You may want to wear a hat and you should definitely bring a bottle of water along. There will also be stops where you can purchase additional drinks along the way (this is not included in the tour price).

Do I have to wear a helmet?

We have helmets available, but wearing a helmet is not mandatory here in Rio. All helmets are cleaned after each use.

Will there be a basket on my bike or a way to carry my bag?

There is not a basket or rack to carry a bag with you, however we do have an attachment to bring along a bottle of water. We recommend only brining the things that you’ll need for the tour in a light backpack.

Do you have electric bikes?

No, we unfortunately do not have e-bikes, but our bikes are easy to ride cruiser bikes and the route is very flat.

Can I leave the tour early?

We kindly ask that once you depart with your guide, you intend on staying for the duration of the tour. The tour is about three hours long, so please plan accordingly.

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We unfortunately do not have time on this tour to enter any of the monuments or museums that we’ll see. Your guide will give you plenty of helpful hints to go back and dive a bit deeper into the areas of the city that interest you most following the tour.

Can I store my luggage at your shop during the tour?

We unfortunately cannot store any bags for you and ask that you only bring the essentials for your tour, preferably in a backpack or wearable bag.

Can I reschedule in the event of bad weather?

We intend on operating rain or shine, and we advise all guests to dress appropriately for the weather.

What kind of bikes do you have?

Our bikes are easy to ride Classic Dutch style bikes which are very comfortable.

Is it safe to bike in Rio de Janeiro?

Yes, it is safe to cycle in Rio de Janeiro, especially if you stay on the designated bicycle paths which our tours will make as much use of as possible. The last couple years Rio de Janeiro has been rapidly expanding its network of bike paths and is becoming a more cycling-friendly city.

What are your covid policies, and will I need to wear a mask?

All bikes are sanitized before tours and hand sanitizer will be available. Wearing mask during cycling is not required, but have one with you in case it’s needed during stops.
