Get ready to kickstart your morning! This is the perfect way to ease into the day and explore the beautiful city of Newy without waking up with the sun. We’ll even reward ourselves with a coffee following the tour.
Beginning at Nobbys Beach, we will set out to explore the surrounding area and discuss the historical relevance of this popular area.

Where is the meeting point?

This tour meets at outside 209 Hunter St (near Crown Street Light Rail).

What is your cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

Are there hills?

No! This tour route is flat and easy to ride.

Can I bring my own bicycle?

Yes, just let us know in the booking notes.

Can I leave the tour early?

Yes, with prior arrangement.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Yes it is required. We have plenty of helmets available, each cleaned between use.

Do you have electric bikes? If so, are they pedal-assist, or throttle?

Yes, although the route is very flat, electric bikes can be arranged at a $50 surcharge. By law in NSW, bikes are pedal assist only.

How long is the ride?

This tour is approx. 2.5 hours long covering about 6.2 miles/10 kilometers.

Is the cost of food & drink included?

The cost of a coffee is included on this tour from a local cafe. Any additional food purchases are extra.

Is there a place to store bags and luggage during the tour?

No, we are unfortunately not able to store any bags while on tour.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

We only have adult-sized bikes, but taller children are welcome to join if they are able to ride our bikes or if they can bring their own bike along.

Is water included or can I purchase some before the tour?

A small bottle of water is supplied at the start of the tour

Should I bring cash?

Cash or card is accepted at the cafe.

What about traffic?

This tour uses bicycle paths for 100% of the ride; there’s no need to worry about traffic!

What are your covid policies, and will I need to wear a mask?

We take care to follow all current NSW COVID policies with regards to wearing masks. We encourage all guests to download the Service NSW app prior to the tour as you will need it to scan into any places of business. All equipment including bikes and helmets are sanitized prior to each tour.

What is your weather policy?

We will ride in light rain, so we recommend bringing your rain gear along, and we also have ponchos available if needed. In the event of extremely poor weather, we will reach out to cancel or reschedule.

What kind of bikes do you have?

Each bike is unique and has been created in the image of Newcastle, lovingly spray painted to represent the essence of ‘Newy’. Each bike is single speed, with front and back brakes.

What should I wear and bring on tour?

Please wear closed toed shoes and comfortable riding clothes appropriate to the season and conditions. Bring along sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Will there be a basket on my bike or a way to carry my bag?

There is a small front bag on the bike suitable for small items. If bringing a bag on tour we recommend a backpack.
