This laid-back tour of LA perfectly embodies the vibe and lifestyle of this famous, sprawling metropolis. Kicking things off from the legendary Route 66 in West Hollywood, we will make our way into Beverly Hills to see the upscale neighborhoods of this elite residential district. We’ll also explore some of LA’s most iconic architectural landmarks and celebrity homes.

Where is the meeting point?

This tour meets at the Bikes and Hikes LA shop located at 7740 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046. There is free street parking available on Genesee Ave and Spaulding Ave, just read signs carefully.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

Should I bring cash?

Yes, cash is always a good idea as not all vendors accept card transactions. There will be opportunities to purchase items along the way.

Will my bike have a basket?

All of our bikes come equipped with handlebar bags that can accommodate small personal items. We recommend bringing a backpack should you wish to bring larger items along on tour.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Yes, helmets are required for safety.

What kind of bikes do you have?

Our standard bikes are high quality multi-speed hybrid city bikes. We also have pedal assist electric bikes for an additional $35/person. Please select this option when checking out if you would prefer to use an e-bike.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

Yes, as long as they can ride a bike for the full duration of the tour on their own. It’s recommended for ages 6 and older. We have 2 20″ frame bikes, 2 24″ frame bikes, and 1 single-wheeled tag-along tandem that attaches to an adult bike. Thanks for letting us know in the notes of your booking if you would prefer one of these smaller bikes.

What are your covid policies?

Under current CDC and California guidelines, guests are no longer required to wear a mask outdoors. You are welcome to bring and wear a mask if you prefer. For those who would like to be extra cautious during these times, you can upgrade any of our daily public tours to a private tour of LA; thanks for contacting us if you would prefer a private option. All of our guides and staff are fully vaccinated, and all bikes are cleaned between tours.

How long is the ride?

This tour is 6 hours long covering 32 miles (51km).

Do you have electric bikes?

Yes! You can upgrade to an electric bike for an additional $35/person. There are some small hills on the tour route. Please select this option when checking out.

Is water included or can I purchase some before the tour?

Water is available to purchase before the tour at our shop as well as when we stop while on tour. We recommend having at least one bottle of water per person during hot summer months.

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We unfortunately will not have time to enter any sites on this tour, but we will take in beautiful views of the neighborhoods we ride through and the beaches. We will also have a chance to walk along some of the famous Venice Canals.

Is the cost of food & drink included?

We do stop for lunch at a place that can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Cost of food and drink are not included.

Can I leave the tour early?

We kindly ask that once you depart with your guide, you intend on staying for the duration of the tour. The tour is about three hours long, so please plan accordingly.

Can I reschedule in the event of bad weather?

We intend on operating rain or shine, and we advise all guests to dress appropriately for the weather.

Can I store my luggage at your shop during the tour?

Of course! You are welcome to store bags in our office while on tour.
