Medieval Krakow

Krakow is a city waiting to be explored, and this 4-hour tour will introduce you to all the highlights! Starting in Europe’s largest medieval market square, we will meet beneath the Adam Mickiewicz statue where your guide will provide you with a short introduction about the history of Krakow and then help you get fitted for your bikes just a few steps away at our office. From there, we will trace the medieval city walls and moat along the Planty gardens as it winds its way to the Wawel Castle, a site believed to be a spiritual chakra. Your guide will fill you in on all of the history, culture, and gossip surrounding this unusual renaissance building.

    This tour meets at the Adam Mickiewicz statue in the main market square. The exact address is Rynek Główny, 30-962 Kraków. The tour will finish back at our office, located just a few steps away in the same main market square – Sławkowska 6A, 33-332 Kraków.

    Where is the meeting point?

    We meet at the Adam Mickiewicz monument in the main square.

    We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

    Are helmets required?

    No, helmets are optional, but free of charge for anyone who would like to use one.

    Can I store my luggage at your office?

    Of course! Bring your larger bags along to the meeting point and we will be happy to keep them safe for the duration of your tour.

    How long is the tour?

    This tour is about 4 hours long, and we will cover approximately 7.5 miles/12 kilometers. The ride is very leisurely, and our bikes are comfortable beach cruisers that make it easy to enjoy the sites as you pedal.

    Can I upgrade to an electric bike?

    Yes! We have pedal-assist e-bikes available for an additional 50pln. Simply select this as an option when checking out if you’d like a bit of extra battery power while cycling.

    Is this tour appropriate for children?

    Yes! The itinerary of this tour makes it great for younger riders. We have a few 16″ bikes and 24″ bikes to accommodate children who feel comfortable riding on their own, and we have baby seats available.

    What if I need to leave the tour early?

    Should you not be able to stay with us for the full 4 hours, we will do our very best to accommodate your request to depart early. Just leave us a note at the time of booking, and we’ll reach out to discuss the options.

    Will I need to wear a mask?

    We have masks available at our office, but they are not required for the tour. We sanitize all equipment regularly and take precautions so as to avoid disease transmission.

    Will there be a basket or a way to carry small bags?

    Yes! Just leave us a note when booking that you would prefer a bike with a basket, and we will be happy to arrange that for you at no additional charge.

    Will we go inside the museums?

    As there is so much to see in Kraków, we have designed this tour to help get you oriented with the city, and not spend extensive time in any one museum. We will enter the Collegium Maius Courtyard and give everyone the opportunity to explore this area on foot. Your guide is happy to provide you with information about how to go back and visit the museums and monuments on your own following the tour.

    Will we stop for food?

    Yes! About midway through the tour, we’ll stop at an authentic Polish restaurant. The cost of food/drink is not included in the tour price, but the restaurant accepts card and cash.
