If you’re looking for a fantastic break from the city into the charming countryside outside Krakow, this tour is perfect. The country bike tour begins along the Vistula river on a smooth bike path and leads you through southern Poland’s picturesque countryside to Tyniec, a small town 12km west of Krakow, famous for its 11th century Benedictine abbey. Founded in 1044, the abbey played a crucial military role in Poland’s Christian restoration and the nation’s rebuilding.

Helmets are not mandatory but available for anyone who wants one.

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

Yes we will have time to visit inside the abbey, gift shop, and coffee shop.

Is there a place to store bags and luggage during the tour?

Yes you are welcome to store bags at our office while on tour.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

We’re happy to welcome younger riders who are confident and have experience riding longer distances. This tour covers 30km (about 18 miles) total.

Is water included or can I purchase some before the tour?

Water is available to purchase before the tour at our shop as well as when we stop while on tour.

Should I bring cash?

We recommend bringing cash to purchase any refreshments or items from the gift shop at the abbey.

What are your covid policies, and will I need to wear a mask?

Masks do not need to be worn while riding bikes, but will be required inside the monastery

What is your weather policy?

Tours will operate rain or shine unless there is extreme weather and it is unsafe to ride.

What kind of bikes do you have?

We use KTM Touring bikes on this tour which are comfortable and offer a great ride over different terrain. We will be on some streets, bike paths and dirt trails throughout this tour.

What should I wear?

Please have something to cover your shoulders while visiting the monastery.

Will there be a basket on my bike or a way to carry my bag?

Yes, you can request a panier for your bike to carry small items on the tour.
