Will my bike have a basket?

All of our bikes come equipped with handlebar bags that can accommodate small personal items. We recommend bringing a backpack should you wish to bring larger items along on tour.

Will I need to wear a helmet?

Helmets are provided for all free of charge, but are only mandatory for those under 16 years of age.

What is the best day to book my tour?

This tour provides a great overview of the city, however we do discourage guests from reserving immediately after a long-haul flight. Give yourself the afternoon and evening to adjust and avoid any cancellation issues by flight delays and plan on joining us during your second day in Madrid.

What kind of bikes do you have?

We use comfortable, 9 gear city bikes. We also have pedal-assist e-bikes available for an additional €10. You can upgrade when you arrive for your tour!

How long is this tour?

The tour is about 3 hours long, and we will cover about 6-7.5 miles/9-12 kilometers.

What are the specific covid policies?

Please be prepared to wear a mask when inside our office or any other establishment. Masks are not required while riding. Our bikes and helmets are cleaned and disinfected after each use.

How should I dress?

This won’t be the Tour de France, but appropriate clothing for biking is recommended. We highly discourage wearing flip-flops. Madrid is not entirely flat, so there are some gentle up-hill climbs on the tour.

Is this a kid-friendly tour?

Children 12 years of age and older are welcome on this group tour provided they are fully comfortable and proficient cycling in a city environment and supervised by an adult.  If you are unsure of your child’s riding ability, we suggest organizing a private tour or joining us on our Parks and River Tour.

Can I leave the tour early?

We kindly ask that once you depart with your guide, you intend on staying for the duration of the tour. The tour is about three hours long, so please plan accordingly.

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We unfortunately do not have time on this tour to enter any of the monuments or museums that we’ll see. Your guide will give you plenty of helpful hints to go back and dive a bit deeper into the areas of the city that interest you most following the tour.

Can I reschedule in the event of bad weather?

We intend on operating rain or shine, and we advise all guests to dress appropriately for the weather.

Is water included or can I purchase some before the tour?

One small bottle of mineral water is provided per person.

Can I store my luggage at your shop during the tour?

Of course! You are welcome to store bags in our office while on tour.
