The Best Restaurants in Charlottenburg, Berlin

Where To Eat In Charlottenburg

Berlin is a BIG city and sometimes it can be a little overwhelming where to start. So many choices, such little time. Where to eat, where to drink, where to sleep and where to party? I have compiled a list of the best places (according to us!) on where to eat and drink once our tours have finished.

Ottenhal

There are many places in Berlin who claim that they have the best Schnitzel in town but I think there is only one. Louis’ in Neukolln claims to have the biggest but Ottenhal really is the tastiest. This Austrian restaurant serves up other great Austrian fare but really come here to eat the schnitzel accompanied with traditional potato salad. Delicious.

Brot und Butter

This cafe serves far more than the bread and butter that the name suggests. Set In a deli/grocery store this cafe serves up tasty and fresh produce, made to order. This place is best for breakfast or lunch and serves delicious coffee and they have a more than impressive cheese selection. Don’t leave here without picking up a loaf for later, some of the best bread in the city. There are so many edible souvenirs you will want to take away from here.

Glass

Glass really is a fantastic restaurant. The restaurant has managed to combine some modern and inventive techniques to create genuinely original, and often quite surprisingly creative dishes, yet still managing to use local produce. The decor here is minimalist, made mostly from glass and metal and here you can choose either the 5 or 7 course set menus with possible wine pairings. This Michelin starred restaurant is the place to go to have a special night out or to celebrate.

KaDaWe (Kaufhaus des Westens)

Yes, this is a department store, Europes biggest by the way but forget about the clothes and the toys and the make up when visiting. jump in the elevator and head straight for the top floor of this Berlin institution. With a food court the size of two football fields the KaDeWe has over 100 cooks and 40 bakers supplying more than 30 gourmet counters. The very top floor showcases the winter garden with seating for up to 1,000 with a fantastic view over Berlin’s busiest shopping street. There are more things to choose from than you even knew existed. See you at the champagne bar!
