New Friendly Staff: Barbora Vojče

Our recently hired Barbora Vojče introduces herself:

About me…

I am currently writing my master thesis in business and economics, which is my big passion, and hope to finish in June this year. Apart from this, I’m learning German with my boyfriend who is half German and half Spanish. I get to practice a lot in our shop at Alexanderplatz where many German-speaking tourists come to rent a bike or join a tour.

I’m 24 years old and came to Berlin in July 2014 because I “just had nothing better to do and wanted to spend some time in a new place”. In the summer I was mostly with friends coming to visit from the Czech Republic (where I’m from) and going to parks, lakes, flea markets, and parties. At the end of the summer my boyfriend and I liked it here so much that we decided to stay a little longer. As it was so hard to find a flat with open-ended contract, we had to move 6 times since then, but finally we’ve managed to find a cozy flat in Prenzlauer Berg.

I like going to jam sessions and concerts and am really looking forward to joining the parties that take place during the day. There are plenty of them in Berlin when the weather gets better, with many of them being hidden in parks, because they are kind of unofficial….
