We’ll start our day with a traditional Italian breakfast, where you’ll be introduced to all of the local Roman morning treats. From there, we’ll make our way to the world famous Campo de Fiori market. This legendary food hall is on the edge of town, but it’s easily accessible with our e-bikes. We’ll pop in and try two local favorites; delicious pizza and a platter of charcuterie and cheese.
Our next stop will be Trastevere, where we’ll sample the Roman style rice balls called supplì. Throughout the tour, your tour leader will provide you with information about each food, location, and a bit of anecdotal lore. From there, we’ll head to Mercato Testaccio, a lesser-known food market where we’ll enjoy a plate of freshly made Roman pasta and a glass of wine.
Finally, we’ll make our way to Circus Maximus, where we’ll learn the ancient origins of Roman street food while enjoying a creamy gelato. This is a great place to get more food recommendations from your guide, plus learn more about the modern & ancient city of Rome.
