Custom Private Normandy Day Trip

Embark on a captivating private Normandy day trip from France, immersing yourself in the rich tapestry of World War II history as you explore iconic sites and gain profound insights into the pivotal events that unfolded on the hallowed grounds of Normandy.

Our first stop is the German war cemetery at La Cambe, before heading round to the Utah Beach section to Sainte Mere Eglise, the first town in France to be liberated by US Airborne troops on D-Day. Here we will visit the Airborne museum to see original equipment, weapons and an actual glider and transport plane which were used on the night of 5-6 June 1944. We will then head to the Pointe du Hoc, the cliff side the US Rangers scaled to destroy German gun positions. The defences and bunkers are still as they were in June 1944.

After lunch, we will move on to Omaha beach, where the 29th and 1st US Divisions came ashore and took terrible losses against the German defenses. The climax of the tour takes us to the US Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer to view the gravestones and pay our respects to the American soldiers who died liberating Normandy. At 5pm, we will witness the flag lowering and TAPS ceremony before returning to Paris.
