In Locorotondo, explore the lime-whitewashed historic center and its typical cummerse houses, discovering why the buildings are whitewashed and hearing local curiosities along the way. A homemade gelato stop is planned: gelato is paid locally at the shop. Then cycle back through the countryside to Alberobello, where you’ll discover how trulli are built and why some roofs feature painted symbols, before reaching a panoramic viewpoint for memorable photos.
