Milos

Milos features a mix of paved coastal roads and rugged, hilly dirt tracks across its volcanic landscape. While some main routes have modest elevation changes, many rural paths are steep and better navigated with electric assist.

Spring and autumn, particularly from April to June and September to October, offer the most pleasant cycling conditions. Summer brings intense heat and strong seasonal Meltemi winds that can make riding more challenging.

Guided routes frequently showcase highlights such as the lunar landscapes of Sarakiniko, the colorful fishing village of Klima, and the hilltop capital of Plaka. Tours may also pass historical sites like the Ancient Theatre and traditional windmills around Trypiti.

An e-bike is strongly recommended due to the island's undulating topography and warm Mediterranean climate. Electric pedal assist makes conquering steep coastal hills and longer distances across Milos much more manageable.

Beginners and families can comfortably participate on tours featuring e-bikes along paved or gentle coastal paths. However, routes venturing into off-road volcanic hills or sharing roads with island traffic require basic cycling confidence.
