Zadar is largely flat along its waterfront, making it very accessible for cyclists of all skill levels. While parts of the pedestrian-only Old Town require dismounting and walking, extensive seaside promenades and surrounding districts provide smooth cycling routes.
Spring from April to June and early autumn from September to October offer the best conditions, with warm temperatures and manageable pedestrian traffic. Summer brings plenty of sunshine, though cycling during early mornings or late afternoons helps avoid the midday heat.
