TOUR DESCRIPTION

Join us for a tour in Tours! Our beautiful, medieval city is perfect for cycling as the terrain is flat and bike paths line most of the major roads. You will have a chance to see all of the highlights of Tours in just under two hours!

We will begin our ride together in the center city, taking a few minutes to pick out and test our bikes. We'll then make our way to the Tours Cathedral where we'll stop to tell you the history of the city and allow plenty of time for photos. This city was one of the preferred locations of French royalty, and it's still frequented today as the main town among the Loire Valley Castles.

From here, we will ride along the spectacular Loire River, the last wild river in Europe and longest river in France. Riding along its banks and crossing 2 bridges, we will admire its islands and sandbars, a haven for a variety of birds such as terns, sandpipers, ospreys, egrets, etc. This is a spectacular opportunity to take in the city while appreciating nature.

From here, we will explore the old medieval and Renaissance quarters of Tours. You will have the opportunity to marvel at its half-timbered and limestone town houses and feel as if you've stepped back in time.

Our ride then takes us then down rue Nationale, the main shopping section of Tours. Your guide will give you plenty of suggestions to come back and visit this area following the tour. plus, we will provide you with restaurant, market, and any other recommendations you'd like in order to make your stay in Tours as enjoyable as possible. We hope you'll join us!
