Our tours leisurely cover about 10.5km (6.5 miles) in approximately 4 hours. It takes less time to bike between the sights than walk, so… you’ll see more in less time!
We stop at all sights on the route, not just passing them by.
We never miss the chance for a photo-opportunity! You’ll listen to entertaining and insightful, NOT dull and monotonous, anecdotes of Paris at every stop. Feel free to question your guide on history, nightlife or lifestyle. Meet other travelers. Have fun!
LESS EFFORT
We often joke, “If you break a sweat, then we are doing something wrong”.
Although Paris is extremely large, the area we bike in is very flat. Our tours follow carefully selected bike-friendly routes, so you’ll return energized rather than worn out. People often tell us how they prefer to save their feet for cities like Prague or Rome, where biking is less ideal.

We believe that if you’re having fun you will absorb more information, so that’s the focus of tours and all aspects of our company. Our guides are not only very knowledgeable, but also personable, entertaining and masters of group chemistry. Also, from the moment you’re one of our extremely comfortable bikes, you’ll be having a better time than if you were on foot or sitting in a bus!
OUR BIKES
Ultra-hard seats? Razor-thin tires? Or fender-less mountain bikes with back-breakingly low handlebars? Not with Fat Tire! Our curvy beach cruisers are purchased new at the beginning of each season and are the pinnacles of city-biking comfort. With cushy seats, fat tires (obviously), and handlebars that come up to meet you, it just doesn’t get more relaxed. Of course these bikes perform as well. There are vice-like brakes to make sure you stop quickly. And with multiple gears, you can choose your level of pedal-pushing effort.
(The bikes also come with unique names making these quite possibly the coolest bikes around.)

The Tours Are A MUST
Just wanted to say “Thanks” for the great bike tours! I was in Paris in August for a week and took 2 of your bike tours, 1 was the “Paris by night”, and the other was the “Versailles”. Both were AWESOME! Paris by night…leader “Peaches” was great!. He really motivated the group to “dominate” the streets of Paris. Ending with the River Seine cruise was the icing on the cake…if you will…what a great night! I met a bunch of wonderful people and saw some great things that I would have never seen if I had not taken the bike tour. I become more familiar with the city of Paris and “got my bearings” for later. The next day I took the Versailles bike tour…WOW! Graham was the lead for this tour…what a great guide! He was very knowledgeable on his Versailles history and was a great tour guide! I loved riding the bikes through the city onto the Palace grounds and around the Grand Canal for our picnic…then touring the palace itself. What a great time offered by both bike tours and both leaders were great in their own elements! ;o)
Since I have been home…I have “raved” to everyone about Fat Tire Bike Tours…and tell tell them all…the tours are a MUST! Thank-you for such a great experience and wonderful time!
I will be back…and I will take more tours!
